 Stanley H. Rosen was born in Pueblo, Colorado, the youngest nephew of the company founder, Gus Rosen. He is an alumnus of the University of Colorado where he developed a love for the school colors of purple and gold and music eduaction. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, Stanley went to the tiny hamlet of Brewster, Kansas to bring the joy of music to the students of their tiny school district. In the summer of 1955, a then 23 year old Stanley visited his brother Irving in Dallas, Texas. Irving had been sent to Texas from Buffalo, New York by his uncle to establish a Rosen auction firm in the southwest, serving the war surplus liquidation needs of the US government. Stanley was bitten by the auction bug and spent the next 10 years learning the business from his brother Irv. In that time he married, had kids and became a fixture in the Dallas real estate and auction market. In 1965, Ralph Rosen, who was in charge of the Cleveland, Ohio & Buffalo, New York offices, passed away and Stanley was sent to the "North Coast" to handle operations there. Under Stanley's adept leadership, the Cleveland office thrived and became the preferred auctioneer for most midwest courts and banks alike. In the 40 years he spent there, Stanley and his crew conducted thousands of asset appraisals, and sold millions of dollars worth of all kinds of machinery, equipment and real estate at public auction and private sale, for private individuals, courts & banks. Truly a family business, at some time or another, every member of the Rosen family worked for the company. In 2003, Stanley loosened up the reigns on Rosen & Company and "semi" retired to the great Las Vegas Valley. He has since joined with his son, Jay at Rosen & Company West, lending his services as a licensed Nevada auctioneer and real estate broker. His daughter Sheila took over the Cleveland office and his nephew Michael commands Rosen Systems in Dallas, Texas. Stanley has maintained his Ohio license and is also licensed in Arizona.
